FADE IN:

EXT. MOVIE THEATRE - NIGHT

CHEERING FILLS THE AIR AND SPOTLIGHTS LIGHT THE SKY as A WHITE STRETCH LIMO pulls up in front of a movie theatre. According to the marquee, it is premiere night for 'TORN STARRING BRAD ALDEN SMITH'.

The door to the limo opens and SCREAMING FANS ROAR.

INT. LIMO - NIGHT

ALEJANDRA
Get out! Just get out of the car!!!

Pop Diva ALEJANDRA GONZALEZ, 26, kicks her fashionably scruffy boyfriend, BRAD ALDEN SMITH, 28, out of the limo and pulls the door shut behind him.

EXT. MOVIE THEATRE - NIGHT

The fans scream for Brad's attention. He stands on the red carpet, dumbfounded.

INT. LIMO - NIGHT

WALLACE, 40, Alejandra's manager, looks on in horror.

WALLACE
Allie, please don't let's do this here.

ALEJANDRA
(petulantly)
No way, no way, no way. No, no, no.

WALLACE
Allie, you not showing up with him will get more press than the movie. The studio'll eat you up over this.

ALEJANDRA
So you go talk to him, Wallace.

Wallace looks at her uncomfortably.

ALEJANDRA (CONT'D)
Go on! Tell him to apologize!

Wallace gets out of the limo, shuts the door.

ALEJANDRA (CONT'D)
Marco, drive, hurry, drive!

Alejandra's stocky but handsome limo driver MARCO GENOVESE, 30, looks into his rearview mirror.

MARCO
You're not gonna go to the movie?

ALEJANDRA
Are you kidding? Take me home right now.

MARCO
You got it.

Marco puts the car in gear and pulls away. Alejandra begins crying like a baby.

ALEJANDRA
That idiot! And Wallace knew. And he didn't tell me. Did you know?

Marco looks at the tearful Alejandra in his rear view mirror.

MARCO
Yeah... I didn't want to say nothin' because I didn't think it was my place.

Marco waits for a response but only gets some muffled sniffles.

MARCO (CONT'D)
But if you don't mind my telling you, Ms. Gonzalez, I think what you just did, that was the best thing you could of done. It's tough in this town. But your Mr. Right. He's out there. Probably under your very nose.

ALEJANDRA
Sure.

MARCO
No, I'm serious, your Mr. Perfect is probably right there under your very nose.

ALEJANDRA
I got a million people under my nose.

MARCO
Yeah, but there's always those ones you're not thinking about, the ones that surprise you, you know? Like you look at them every day, just totally right there under your very nose. And you don't think about them. But then one day, you do.

ALEJANDRA
You're not going to tell me Mr. Right's in the driver's seat of my limo, are you?

MARCO
I'm kinda nervous here, so bear with me--

ALEJANDRA
You are!?? I don't believe this!

MARCO
Hey, since you brought it up: yeah, I think I am the one.

Alejandra breathes out heavily and stares uncomfortably out of her window.
